چکیده
Purpose: Salmonella is a significant pathogen affecting wider range of animals and one the main causes diarroeal diseases leading to millions human cases globally. Pathogenicity islands (SPI) are imperative in invasion host cell pathogenesis within cell. It found that SPI from 1 5 present every serovars S. enterica these laterally acquired virulence regions.Research Method: This study investigated presence some genes belong SPI1, SPI2, SPI3 SPI5 23 isolates broiler chicken meat Sri Lanka using PCR method further (gene encoding invasion-associated protein, structural gene for attachment invasion, regulatory like nucleoid structuring gene) were quantified RT- PCR.Findings: The revealed Island such as hilA, invH, invF, invA hns all isolates. Among 2 investigated, showed ssaO, ssaQ, ssaP ssaS (genes T3SS apparatus proteins), sscB sscA secretion system chaperon sseF, sseD coding secreted eff ector proteins). In isolates, 3 genes, responsible magenisum transport (mgtB mgtC) found. rhuM (that supposed code cytoplasmic protein) was absent four whereas cigR (which predicted codes membrane two pipB except isolate sopB isolate.Originality/Value: conserved most fresh expression diff erent vary with isolate. molecular basic will pave way explore more on local Salmonella, detection methods control methods.

Mutations in Salmonella pathogenicity island 2 (SPI2) genes affecting transcription of SPI1 genes and resistance to antimicrobial agents.
The Salmonella typhimurium genome contains two pathogenicity islands (SPI) with genes encoding type III secretion systems for virulence proteins. SPI1 is required for the penetration of the epithelial layer of the intestine. SPI2 is important for the subsequent proliferation of bacteria in the spleens of infected hosts. Although most mutations in SPI2 lead to a strong reduction of virulence, th...
متن کاملPrevalence and Antibiotic Resistance of Salmonella Serotypes in Chicken Meat of Ardabil, Northwestern Iran
Background and Objective: Salmonellosis is one of the most important zoonotic diseases; most of the infections caused by the consumption of contaminated food is caused by this bacterium. During the last decades, the resistance of Salmonella isolates to conventional antibiotics has increased, which is a global health problem. The objective of this study was to investigate Salmonella serotypes in...
متن کاملPrevalence and antimicrobial resistance of Salmonella serotypes isolated from retail chicken meat and giblets in Iran.
INTRODUCTION Salmonella is one of the major foodborne pathogens responsible for outbreaks of foodborne illness in humans worldwide. METHODOLOGY A total of 560 samples of chicken meat and giblets were collected from retail markets for Salmonella identification, serotyping, and antimicrobial resistance testing. RESULTS Salmonella was detected in 19.8% of samples. Among the five serotypes iden...
متن کاملPrevalence and antibiotic-resistance of Salmonella isolated from chicken meat marketed in Rabat, Morocco
Salmonellosis is a one of the major food-borne diseases with a high incidence and severity. In recent years, an increase in the occurrence of antimicrobial drug–resistant Salmonella spp. has been observed in several countries including Morocco. This study examines the prevalence of different Salmonella enterica (S. enteric) serotypes and their susceptibilities to commonly used drugs for treatme...
متن کاملAntimicrobial Resistance Profile of Salmonella Serovars Isolated from Chicken Meat
The study was designed to investigate the prevalence and antibiotic resistance profile of Salmonella spp. in broiler chicken meat sold in the Karachi City-Pakistan. A total of 160 meat samples were randomly collected from different retail markets and examined for the presence of various species of salmonella. The prevalence rate recorded was 48.75%. Different species of salmonella detected were...
